It's a beautiful historic village with many sites close by to visit. this time we took a boat tour of the area which was most enjoyable and educational. the seafood is excellent and shopping is great fun!

Lots of tavernas and bars both on the harbour and in the town. There are several small supermarkets which stock a big variety, but don't think Waitrose. We liked the Tropicana platanos taverna, the seahorse hotel (to eat) and the bakery. On the negative side you will leave Molivos fitter than when you arrived. i loved molivos so much to do, the people were great and the food delicious - try going to Castro restaurant for a delicous Pizza and a drink! and ask the owner to play backgamman/Tavli !! a real Greek experiance

Mithimna is a really picturesque place which has retained its traditional character. There are spectacular views. The castle is well worth visiting. You can enjoy walking through the narrow streets and feeling is if you are in another time and place. Even in late October it is possible to bathe and there were a few restaurants and cafes open. There are many restaurants in the small harbour serving fresh fish and seafood.MaryGreece

It felt very luxurious and relaxing, and it definitely gave it a resort feel, with the gorgeous view before you, and the setting. The hosts were also incredibly welcoming, readily available and had lots of useful advice about where to visit. The property was well maintained and cleaned regularly throughout our stay. The property is next to the beach so you fell asleep and woke up to the sound of the waves.
