The location was great, and very easy to pick up the key from the taverna right across the walkway from it. The food was even good at that same taverna. We were just staying one night and found it very convenient and well priced

An amazing village with great history and unique Greek Easter celebrations. Good Friday, Saturday and Tuesday (right after the Easter Sunday) the whole village participates to the events and celebrations. It is an experience you should have at least once.

Beautiful town, extremely friendly people and good standard of food in be traditional Greek restaurants. Ate at both Eden Garden (traditional goat great) and To Milos (by the old windmills) which has amazing cliff, sea and sunset views, delicious food and restina wine.
Local women still wear traditional embroidery and clothes, but because they all want to. It's not 'put on for be the tourist'.
Excellent museum displays the work of local artist who's tells you about the village and his family. Well worth asking for the museum in the platia (main square)
Beautiful churches to explore in town.
Amazing local bird population.
Will return, a part of the old traditional Greece lives on in Olympos.

Stayed for a couple of nights which was about right.
Stayed for a couple of nights which was about right. Shopkeepers dress in traditional clothes making it very different from most tourist places. We went during the covid problem so hardly any tourists. Some nice eating places but in 2 days you are seeing the same shops etc. The views are spectacular and the sunsets not to be missed

Olympos is a breathtakingly beautiful, unique place full of culture, history and tradition. The town is colourful and fascinating - full of old buildings, tiny chapels and carved wood and stone everywhere. The people are friendly and helpful, lovely tavernas and traditional cafes and stunning views in all directions. It is however very high up and there are a lot of steps and steep inclines to get anywhere (cars must park at the entrance to the village) and lots of steep drops and views down the mountainside so if you don't like heights or can't manage steps, it may not be the place for you. At the end of the season (October) it is a difficult place to get to without your own car as there is only one bus per week to the capital so plan your visit well. Recommend Parthenon taverna near the church and Marina's taverna lower down the main street. There is nowhere like Olympus.
Highly recommended.

Time has stopped in Olymbos.
Time has stopped in Olymbos. Even though now it is easier to get there, it is always like to jump back in a remote era. Astonishing landscape, ancestral traditions, absolute peace (when tourists go away). In ten minutes by car there is the pretty Diafani village and its beach. Don't miss Agios Minas beach, at 20' from Olymbos
